Master’s Research Supervision

  • Master’s Minor Thesis Supervisor – RMIT University & Monash University.
  • Supervising postgraduate students on research-focused thesis projects aligned with human-centred software engineering, mental health triage apps, and requirements engineering  (ongoing)

Research Assistant Supervision

  • Supervised research assistants across multiple interdisciplinary projects involving empirical study design, data collection, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and research dissemination in human-centred software engineering and socio-technical systems.

Postgraduate/Undergraduate Capstone  and Research Project Supervision

  • Capstone Project Supervisor (COSC2410 / COSC2648) – RMIT University
    • Supervising final-year Bachelor of Software Engineering and Master of Information Technology students on software engineering capstone projects (2025, 2026).

    • Supervised final-year students with Professor John Grundy on developing a practical tool/plugin to support performance appraisal for requirements engineers (2024).
    • Supervised a team of six students with Professor John Grundy on developing a Jira plugin to capture personality, motivation, performance, and satisfaction in requirements engineering tasks (2023).

External Adviser – Final Year Research Project (Honours Thesis)

  • Engaged in a research project in the capacity of an external adviser on “Virtual Garment Fitting for an Online Market Place for Females”. The project was carried out as a final-year undergraduate research project at the Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.

Undergraduate Project Mentoring  and Coordination – University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC), Sri Lanka

  • Mentored undergraduate teams (six teams) in applying the software development life cycle to real-world client projects, including web-based and standalone systems.
